2005 Flashback

Milwaukee, WI

It does not matter what state you're in when you travel and go to church conferences, you always seem to meet friendly people (even if everyone is not friendly). I remember me & my mom went to a church conference in Milwaukee back in 2005 for a week. We met women named Ms. Fay, Ms. Mary, and Ms. Naomi while we were at the conference in Milwaukee. Ms. Naomi (a single mom) is a Wisconsin native of the Badger state and bought me & my mom fruit at a Market that had really good fruit which was a blessing! I remember we went to a great restaurant that had really good cheeseburgers (what the Badger state is known for that being great cheese) in Milwaukee. The other 2 women were from the Constitution state of CT like where me and my mom were from. Ms. Fay (divorced) was from East Haddam, CT. Ms. Fay had a sassy but outgoing personality and she really cracked us up at the conference. Ms. Mary (single) was a sweet woman from Hamden, CT and both Ms. Fay & Ms. Mary like me and my mom came to the conference in Wisconsin because they didn't have a church home too.

Whenever we would sing at the conference, Ms. Fay would tell Ms. Mary when she heard me sing that I could sing (Ms. Fay always sat beside me at the conference).  Ms. Mary then would say to me, "Paul I heard from Fay that you are a great singer and I should sit by you and listen!" (Ms. Mary sat beside me) Ms. Fay sat beside me in church and would observe how I do things and would tell Ms. Mary, lol. We all met a woman named Ms. Leah from Minnesota and a woman named Ms. Kathy from Australia one day, when we all had went out for lunch after coming from one of the conferences. We had all ate and my mom offered to pay for all of us and Ms. Leah said to my mom I will never forget, "Don't you dare!” My mom replied, “But I don’t mind.” Ms. Leah answered, “Don’t you dare, I’m paying for everyone and lunch is on me!” (Ms. Leah was getting upset with my mom) My mom just said, “Okay.”  It's something about how the Lord work things out even when you was not expecting it (unexpected blessing).
